Flying Hawaiian airlines using trueBlue- new agreement

Obv details still need to surface, but does anyone with familiarity with Hawaiian award availabilty think this has the potential to be a worthwhile redemption opportunity, esp given the JFK service due to commence in June? This would mean an addition of many new cities to make connections from on a one stop to Hawaii(Oakland, Las Vegas, Portland, Seattle) from NYC...

I'm going to assume you mean redeeming a Jetblue award for travel with Hawaiian, right?

Yep...just asking on the availabilty side of things, the amount of trueblue points needed to get to Hawaii, haven't been announced yet(i'm assuming), so it would be hard to analyze the total value just yet..

So why do you think it'll be such good value?

The value as it stands right now is just in availability because we don't know how many trueblue points it will take to fly from NYC to HNL using either just Hawaiian metal, or combo Hawaiian and Jetblue. All I'm saying is that this has a lot of potential because it opens up new cities to connect through(unless people actually use Hawaiian points, in which case they always existed)...on that end, I was wondering how stingy Hawaiian is on award availability in general...

I have both Hawaiin Airlines CC (BOA and Bank of Hawaii-each under the current 35k signup bonuses) and they have excellent availability for the NY route.  i think you get enhanced availability though if you hold the CCs.
