Verizon $10 discount per line for a year (existing customers)!!!

Currently Verizon seems to be offering a $10 discount on every active line when you start trying to port out to another company.
Open your My Verizon app.
Click on the Account icon at the bottom of the app.
Click on the “Edit Profile and Settings”
Account Settings screen, scroll down to the Security section and click Number Lock.
On the Number Lock screen, turn off the Number Lock for each line.
Go back to the Account Settings screen and click on Number Transfer Pin.
Generate a Number Transfer Pin.
Wait a day or two and hope discount is offered

Keep in mind you get $10 per line so for people with multiple lines this is extremely valuable.
The $10 off is valid for a year so it’s $120/year per line.

i see this hack not working for business accounts, verizon doesnt give its business account customers any perks! although i hear there are ongoing discussions to change this soon.

I signed up with the BYOD promo they had a while ago which gave a discount for 36 months, combined with a discount for having FIOS and paperless auto-bill, I'm paying $21.12 (including taxes) for lines on 5G Start, and $27.39 for a line on 5G Do More. I have one line that got messed up when they told me a phone upgrade is available, that took away $10 of discounts on that line, but after I discovered that and returned the phone, they just gave me a one time credit to compensate for the lost monthly credits.

A few hours after trying the hack above (lines were already unlocked) I got a message saying that I'll get $10 off per line for 12 months. I currently have 6 lines on my account, and was actually planning on adding 2-3 more in the near future. Maybe I should have waited with the hack. I also hope it doesn't interfere with any other credits and discounts I have on my account now.
