With all due respect, this needs to be removed. G-d could most certainly protect and save anyone and everyone, should He desire to do so. He was able to sink the titanic on it's maiden voyage, and the blasphemous bravado talk and advertisements of otherwise which had preceded the ship's launch may have doomed so many on that ship.

God is the only One who protected and protects the People of Israel. At times the IDF may be indeed be instrument God uses, but it is not their Koach and Otzem Yadom which ever achieved anything. What a disgusting thing for him to say. What he said is most likely מחרף ומגדף את השם הנכבד והנורא for which a person who hears it must tear kriah.

It seems like he only said to make him feel better and he later mentions Heaven. It is still completely unacceptable to have said that part - even to offer comfort.

@mevinyavin Can you ask Rabbi Berkowitz if a person needs to tear kriah after reading the nonsense this person wrote about Beeri? Is kriah only required if a person hears it said, but not if it is only read?

Um, if I had quoted it, I would have censored the sentence, but I think you are overreacting. I would be the first to admit that my exposure to the secular world has desensitized me to statements such as these. However, no one here disagrees with what you are saying regarding that statement.
