This report comes from sky news. There are so many conflicting reports & nothing has been verified yet. Iran isn’t letting anything from the sight be published. Whoever was behind this would be smart to keep mum.

None. This makes Iran look beyond weak. Haniyeh traveled through several countries & was fine but as soon as he’s in Iran he goes boom, & right after their big inauguration.

Not necessarily. A missle attack is an act of war. Israel can't just send a missile wherever they want. And a targeted assassination is a giant diplomatic disaster, not to mention the logistical challenges to carry it out.

Israel was most likely not interested enough to justify the backlash from Qatar. And even in Iran, they likely would not have striked, if not for the Iranian missile attack a couple months back.

Its not so under the table. The US made them promise not to touch anyone while in Qatar.

This was such a strong message to them: “If we want to get you, we’ll get you anywhere. If you’re still alive it’s because we chose not to.”

It’s possible they didn’t have such a clear shot at just him & others would’ve been killed.
There were others in the building as well. They had a perfect shot at Haniyeh’s bedroom.
Or any other number of reasons.
