Correct. Based on all those, why hasn't he?
Word is that his firing, along with the long overdue firing of the AG, are closer than ever (firing of the AG is trickier as the Bolsheviks invoke and attack on her as "Bibi trying to get rid of his legal issues").
Regarding the AG, there has been a big win this week that escaped the news:
One of the key prosecution witnesses was Hadas Klein, who was evidently (as exposed during her testimony, as well as the testimony of others) a key player in fabricating the part of the indictment that talks about the Netanyahu couple accepting excessive gifts (mainly cigars and champagne, but also other items) from Arnon Milchan and James Packer (both of whom employed Hadas Klein as their executive assistant in Israel) for whatever interests those two might have had.
During the trial her lies and fabrications became evident, causing embarrassment to the prosecution. It also seems quite evident that she swindled her employers. She was highly political and publicly cried poverty. In response to her cry of poverty, journalist Eli Zipori published a picture (taken from Google maps) of her home (her address being public information). She cried that she felt intimidated by this act, and the AG decided to indict Eli Zipori for witness intimidation.
During the same trial a "reporter" by the name of Aviad Glickman (who many refer to as Dlifman - a play on the word דליפה - leak) tweeted (or otherwise published) a warning to Shlomo Filber, who was coerced to sign a state witness agreement, that he better say the right things during his testimony, or else... (this is an obvious attempt at witness intimidation, that was totally ignored by the AG).
As part of discovery, the judge approved Zipori's lawyers' request, and ordered the AG's office to produce:
1. A list of all cases where reporters were suspect of witness intimidation that were opened in the last 3 years due to a complaint being filed or due to police reconnaissance. Indicating which of them led to an indictment, and which were closed without and indictment, with indication for the reason why an indictment wasn't filed.
2. A listing of all cases of witness intimidation related to the Netanyahu trial, indicating the status of each case, a copy of the indictment filed, where such was indeed filed, an indication for the reason not to indict, in cases where that was the decision, along with reasoning, and in cases where there is no decision, an indication of current status.
3. A response to a list of allegations of witness intimidation provided by the defense team, indicating details and status (similar to #2).
I expect the prosecution to appeal this decision of the judge, and will be surprised if the Supreme Court won't severely limit, if not fully bar, this order by the judge.
