Her intro mentions it. The gate was locked. That gave them time for the tiny response team to get arms and fight back. That fight bought more time for reinforcements to come join the fight. Had the gate been open, the terrorists would have been in the kibbutz going door to door before anyone could fight them.

They also treated survivors from the music festival, so not only did the gate save Sa'ad, it also created a refuge for survivors to escape to and get some sort of medical treatment.

Complaining they reported it is just ridiculous.

That is exactly what everyone is doing. You can report as an explicitly unreliable source, but to use it as if it is a government source similar to any western government is crazy.

My reply was not sarcastic at all. It was simply to bring an example that can help better understand the similarities (not the differences) since the Taliban is very much universally accepted as a terrorist group, equally hated by all Americans but they are a governing body of a huge country after all.

I think the claims here are mainly the way Hamas is being portrayed and the lack of the preconceived notion that Hamas are terrorists.
