Because someone made a ridiculous statement thats its all from G-d and it's irrelevant that they're bloodthirsty animals
Sorry, never said that, and definitely wasnt intending to create such dramatic hostility. Let me explain, its very simple,
Hashem (that’s g-d for anyone keeping score at home) is the one who runs the world, how do i know? He told us. HE decides everything, there is no such thing as bechira in the way that you’re describing it, how do i know? Chazal. Its hard to explain the bechira that a goy has, and an animal definitely has no bechira, so its really pretty hard to be able to explain this based on bechira. We as yidden have bechira in ONLY yiras shamayim (for example getting hostile at people and accusing them of saying something they never even said). How do I know? A gemara in Nidda.
In the times of Achashverosh i’m sure many people were asking how this could happen and devising military plans to overthrow the king and all that fun stuff. Nope, actually they davened and learned, how do i know? The Megillah says so.
What’s definitely irrelevant is creating hostility amongst yidden because that may only create the situation to go longer, how do i know? About 2000 years of golus has proven that one.
Really this is all just part of churban bayis some 2000 years ago and its just a ripple effect of sinas chinam that hasnt quite gone away yet.
Do we need to know who did this? To an extent, yes, soldiers definitely should not go to war against Italy mistaking them as the ones who killed almost 1000 yidden, so yes we should know who did it, but chazal tell us (forgot exact lashon) that lev (or yad) melech HASHEM hu, it’s all Hashem, without any doubt in my mind.
Yishmael lives by the chetz (that’s an arrow) they’ve been cursed (blessed?) with this since they’re existence, its in the Torah, these rockets are just fancier and farther arrows.
The Gemara in Sukka says Hashem regrets creating Yishmailim, so he definitely feels the pain now too. Trust me.
But this entire plan is Hashems, not “palestine” or “hamas” yes they carry out the plan and the did quite a scary job doing it, but it was Hashem’s plan. How do I know? Because it happened, plain and simple.
If you disagree, I’m sorry but its the truth.
We have the power to change EVERYTHING, davening, learning, tzeddaka, teshuva. How do I know? We screamed it just a couple of weeks ago. While they were wiping out Nashim, Anashim, vtaf, we were screaming “ein shmira katorah,” it doesn’t change just because we’re at war.
Someone here said to cut down on simchos and other things that I really don’t agree with, but regarding the simchos, I think that just as we in America danced on simchas torah, knowing full well that were major tzaros in klal yisroel, because that was our day that was given to us, so too our simchos. I’m not saying a bar mitzvah needs to have a gourmet shmorg, but to cut out a shmorg and other things from a wedding? That’s the biggest day of someone’s life and its really belittling to THEIR simcha to suggest that. No, a wedding should go on full as planned, that is the exact opposite of what these enemies want. And Hashem wants us having simcha. So if you want to change something at a simcha, give a klap and ask that the 300 people there say a perek of tehillim before dancing.
Don’t take it out on a chosson and kallah, please.
What someone should be focused on is ruchnius, davening and learning. Many yeshivos are starting an already super long zman early this year which iyh will be a tremendous zchus. we should give tzeddakah, whether to hatzala and army supplies in israel or to support torah, its all part of the same battle. When you daven, add in tehilim (you’re local minyan should already be doing this).
It’s not for us to pretend to know how to take down enemies on a battle field, because we don’t even have the bechira to do that, THAT IS ONLY SIYATA DISHMAYA, and its not being wasted on you to figure out a strategy of war in your living room. (I.e. read: its irrelevant) It’s being given to the people that need it as many people’s lives are on the line. You can help plan the fight strategy by sitting in a beis medrash.
And the only way to get rid of our enemies is Mashiach, so maybe have a little extra kavana in shmone esrei.
Let’s focus on the things that will actually end this war, and not make it worse yeah?
