Not only is that opinion unpopular, its wrong.

Both Trump and Netanyahu are great leaders (I am not saying they are good people, just good leaders). Their opposition has decided that they will not work with them until they step down.

This is not normal, nor democratic. This is what your 2 year old does when he didn't get the proper color cup for his milk.

Forcing them to step down after being democratically elected is turning a democratic country into a mob rule.

They should never step down due to pressure.

While you might be right I don’t think it’s fair to compare Netanyahu to Trump. Even if your conclusion is identical the reasons are VERY different.

Netanyahu will retire as soon as he sees there's a competent replacement for him. Unfortunately there hasn't been anyone that comes close. Can you fathom anyone else withstanding US (and global) pressure like him? Those that might aren't electable (Yariv Levin for example).

He is an ardent Zionist. Regardless of my opinions about Zionism (I dropped his book in disgust after reading a few pages and realizing how much he believes in Zionism), if one believes that a leader should do what's best for the Jews (reminder: there are millions of Jews living in EY) regardless of US pressure, he is currently the best. He also happens to be more honest than most politicians.

Your last statement is correct. However he does actually see himself as kind of a Zionist "messiah", and he really believes it (just like he believes some of the early Zionists were.

All of that being said. I think mods should prune this discussion and make a separate thread titled "Netanyahu is best for the Jews. Yes or No? "
