Gaza health ministry is quoted as fact by united states senators and congressmen. It is repeated as fact by reporters when speaking about it. Go read all the comments on social media by the average person and their numbers are repeated as fact.

Some news outlets have only now started calling the Gaza health ministry "Hamas run" because of the hospital fiasco. And many still don't.

They are absolutely given way more credence than statements by Putin who the vast majority of people view as a murderous dictator.

When Putin claimed Ukraine bombed their hospital, no one believed him. And later it was proved Russia bombed it, and they were vindicated

They could have (or should have) written: "According to unverifiable claims by the Hamas-run health ministry, at least 5,087 Palestinians have been killed in two weeks of Israeli strikes, including 2,055 children."
