I think it's time for Israel to stop the PR game.
The minds of the public are already set.
There aren't really any "undecided voters" around who's opinion will change when a certain video gets explained or not.
Therefore, Israel should just ignore any media, stop taking interviews, turn off Internet Gaza, and journalists in northern Gaza should be expelled.
The world will cry a bit, but eventually stop (when was the last time a newspaper reported that Russia doesn't allow the press watching their front or battles with Ukraine).
Those who are pro-Israel will stay that way and those who hate will continue hating regardless of the effort.
I recoiled at first when I saw this post, but now I actually think that this position has merit, and in fact may make it easier for Biden to continue supporting Israel.
Let's face it: most of the world's media outlets at this point focus most of their reporting spreading Hamas propaganda, which is really Hamas's only hope of survival and their go-to tactic ever since they've sullied this planet with their existence. The reason: antisemitism and a leftist ideology which biases the media to make sense of the reality in a way that fits their worldview.
I don't think Israel should shut down their official communications with the press or quit giving interviews. I think it is a basic responsibility to inform the international community (and especially the Jewish public) about the realities on the ground. But without a constant stream of footage from Gaza, this story will likely die or slow to a trickle just like the Russia/Ukraine conflict. (Presumably, Elon Musk would have to be on board.)
Even were they find a way to communicate via text or voice to the media, at the end of the day, without the shock value of the constant stream of footage from "journalists" sympathetic to Hamas and Hamas's communication network, the story won't generate views, and therefore revenue, to the media outlets.
If the US stance is as many here assume, which is that Biden instinctively sides with Israel but is beginning to realize that he must contend with the left flank of his voter base possibly staying home if this war (with his support) carries on much longer, this would be the perfect strategy to ease up some of the public pressure from the halls of "academia."
The only logical argument for a different outcome that comes up for me right now is that when Jews are involved, things seem to be different. The world at times seems to be obsessed with its Jews and there may be hatred so strong that won't let this this story die no matter whether it's profitable or not.
