Not really feasible. They have to let the families know, and then the media finds out anyway. Better the announcement comes from the military so people don't lose trust and think that they are being lied to.

Historically, the US has specifically asked, at times forcefully, Israel not to involve itself in US fights, even when they impacted Israel. This was especially true in the gulf war.

How does that serve our interests? Open up another front for Israel? Divert resources from Gaza and Lebanon? Show the world that the US won't protect their own soldiers and relies on Israel to do it for them? Where's the benefit?

We all know most of what they report is false, an exaggeration or a flat out lie.

Except that the purpose of a terrorist is to evoke terror. Sometimes that's done with actions, and sometimes that's accomplished with words. Repeating everything they say just plays into their hands. At the end of the day, Israel's goal is to recover that soldier, hopefully alive, but even dead. At that point, we can tell the Israeli public the results. Until then, it's just terrorists inspiring terror.

Take of of who? Take care of what? Those bases aren't there for Israel. We've been fighting these terrorists for years now. They attacked us, like they have been attacking us, and we need to respond.
