I appreciate the sentiment, but I think the analogy he is trying to make is a little mixed up..... Why is it if Israel would do what russia did? maybe say it the other way, that the world freaks out when the US puts any restrictions on Israel's use of US weapons, but Ukraine, who needs them more, is not allowed to use them the way they want?

Maybe I misheard, but it seemed like he was being called out for applying the same policy in Ukraine as he is in Israel, and he didn't walk it back (at least in the clip). Looks like the administration's policy is that we won't be party to our arms putting any civilians at any kind of risk, even when that means additional casualties to our allies' civilians. We've rewritten the laws of war, giving aggressive bad actors the advantage. It makes me wonder what our policy would be if it was our own civilians under attack, G-d forbid.

His point is that if we are so concerned with indiscriminate bombing of civilians, why are we basically silent on what Russia is doing in Ukraine, in contrast to the amount of time we spend speaking about the IDF civilian casualty rate.

However, you are correct that his analogy is wrong, as the aggressor's indiscriminate bombing isn't in question here. We don't supply Russia with arms, and in fact support the other side. He would make a better point by saying we don't do enough to help any of our allies when faced with enemies who murder indiscriminately.
