Labeling those who messed up time and again as "leftists" or any other simple "others" label distracts from the fact that basically the entire political and security establishment has been making the same mistakes over and over again.
I recently read about the period between the overthrow of the Russian Empire and the takeover by the Bolsheviks (the name being a lie - implying that they were the majority, when in fact they were not). Ukrainian socialist tried to establish a socialist democracy. The Bolsheviks took over by force. All extremely reminiscent of the current situation in Israel. The Israeli "right" is also socialist, globalist, etc. Just not as brazen, violent, and anti-democratic as the "left".
Shalit deal (1027:1), which released Sinwar among many other convicted murderers was voted on by the 29 ministers of Bibi's cabinet. 26 for, 3 against. The three against were all "right wing", but Bibi and every Likud member besides Yaalon voted for, as did Shas and Bayit Hayehudi.
This, along with Bibi's recognition of the ICJ, trying to defend actions rather than showing them the middle finger. (And domestically, not firing the entire bureaucrat "legal" apparatus, along with political hacks in the military command) are his gravest sins.
All that being said, any "alternative" presented over the past 3 decades has been a clown, a puppet, or someone full of jealousy and hate. Not one competent alternative has come forth.
