Topic Wiki

Here is a site with updated list of airlines flying or not flying:
https://www.passportcard.co.il/article/airlines-at-war/
in Hebrew

If it says, for example:
לא (כל הטיסות מבוטלות עד ל05.09)

It means as of now they are not flying until Dec. 5, not including, meaning they are set to restart on Dec 5.

Many airlines keep on pushing off the restart date.

Airlines flying and cities currently served to TLV - as of 11/11/24 (from the passportcard site, ones verified by the DDMS are in Blue)

List sorted by destination airport code (for those who prefer this format) - Last updated 11/13 (12/15: added Aegean and Azerbaijan)
Note that daily refers to flights but not necessarily airlines. List derived from Ben Gurion flight boards but is only from Ben Gurion. Still, flights usually run both ways (anyone want to write this in, fine, but I'm done). When was he supposed to?
They said he was on the way to TLV when he got reports of the incoming attack so he decided to stay with the "yeshiva" instead

You can use the return, you will get refunded whatever you paid for that leg, if both directions are booked in the same booking class, then you will get around half.

Anyone know if delays these days (on Arkia) are eligible for compensation under IL or EU laws?
There’s no security threat in place, they’re just backed up from Motzei Shabbos’s cancellations.

So a while ago, Virgin re-booked the second leg of our JFK-LHR-TLV tickets with Elal. I thought they would check my luggage all the way through since it's one ticket. But I called Virgin to confirm and the agent claims that they don't have a baggage agreement with Elal so I will have to pick up my luggage and recheck them in. Is that correct? Or does the agent not know what she was talking about?

Probably agent doesn't know, double check at check-in counter

Cross posting from elal thread due to time sensitive nature:

Time sensitive question: Family member was scheduled to fly stopover in from NYC to TLV in MAD. Took off Sunday evening since flight was still scheduled to leave. After arrival in MAD they were told flight was cancelled. Got them a flight to TLV with a stopover in BCN (but they may need to pick up luggage cause first leg is Iberiea and Second is LY so quite a pain).

Just now while they are sleeping, I see a direct elal flight opened up from MAD to TLV. Issue is that the LY flight from BCN to TLV takes off at the same time and I don't want to cancel the current flight without speaking to them in the morning. Does elal automatically cancel a flight if you have two simultaneous bookings? TIA
