has anyone been successful in getting united to reimburse replacement flights to Israel booked on other airlines? or any additional compensation . I'm still awaiting my refund for the actual cancelled flights.. they said 7 to 10 days?

I guess my question is, if you are looking to book a flight for late June, would you fly with a European carrier and take the stopover, or would you take a chance with United?

I booked an Emirates flight from ATH-EWR,

now I have the option of booking Aegean from TLV-ATH with a connection time of 1:25, will they 100% interline luggage in TLV on two separate tickets if they're partners?

otherwise I'll have to book Israir with a four hour stop to retrieve & recheck luggage
