Here is a site with updated list of airlines flying or not flying:
https://www.passportcard.co.il/article/airlines-at-war/
in Hebrew

If it says, for example:
לא (כל הטיסות מבוטלות עד ל05.09)

It means as of now they are not flying until Dec. 5, not including, meaning they are set to restart on Dec 5.

Many airlines keep on pushing off the restart date.

Airlines flying and cities currently served to TLV - as of 11/11/24 (from the passportcard site, ones verified by the DDMS are in Blue)

They use the 777 to ATH, why can't they use to some airport in the US
athens is much more profitable couple hundred per ticket 4 frequencies  while NY does one flight

Friend's son is booked on Austrian Sept 1. Not cancelled yet but looks like it's heading in that direction, and almost impossible to book any other options - but if they do book another option and Austrian flies, they're out of luck, and if they wait until Austrian cancels as things look now there will be no options left at all...

Which help many more people fly to and from TLV.
Plus, ATH isn't slot restricted.

Two hit pieces on ELAL from Globes within a few hours. Both of them are laughable if you read between the lines. It feels like I'm reading a campaign ad from KH.

Virgin tells  me they will only rebook on LY to LHR,  not direct to NYC. Even though no availability on the stopover for same day. They will do next day with stopover.
Has anyone gotten rebooked direct on LY?

I’ve noticed some nasty articles on Ynet recently as well, while trying to promote Israir. Looks like the media is at them big time.

Find the cheapest flight El Al flies to for that date. Book it with the El Al protect option. If Austrian cancels you can get them to reroute you to connect to your El Al ticket. If Austrian is flying then you cancel the El Al ticket for voucher.

I just did this twice. Bought ATH-TLV and TLV-FCO on El Al, I had my inbound rerouted by United to ATH and outbound from FCO. The flights costed ~$300 each and included luggage and El Al protect. You can get the price down more by buying vouchers for El Al from the gfst thread.

Delta booked me over on El Al even the flight was not officially canceled, had to try twice until the agent was willing to do it. they booked me on a flight that was already sold out on elal.com (El Al does not have anymore any economy seats available for sale the week before Rosh Hashanah).

My original ticket was a Delta economy award class N and now I am booked on class Y. Will I be able to earn miles since I was booked over to El Al? And if yes which program will I get the most out of this ticket?

I had a return ticket on United from TLV-EWR and they just now told me that they can rebook me from any city in Europe..... but it has to be on a United operated flight only. No partner airlines. It turned out ATH and DXB were the only feasible options that corresponded to available El Al flights.
With Athens I only have 2 hours and 25 minutes between when El Al arrives and United leaves
With Dubai there would be a 14 hour wait

2:25 is more than enough time w/o luggage.
With luggage is risky

Try FCO. I just booked it. El Al flight with protect cost me $275. Flight gets in at 8:45am. UA has flights at 11am and 12:55pm. I asked to get put on the second one. If possible I will stand by for the first one.
