Officially yes, but I'm finding both directions, and also OW.

Try FCO. I just booked it. El Al flight with protect cost me $275. Flight gets in at 8:45am. UA has flights at 11am and 12:55pm. I asked to get put on the second one. If possible I will stand by for the first one.

I had already booked the ATH flight, and when I called back the agent said that sorry only one change is allowed, but looked down her nose and said I am very lucky that FCO came in as an even exchange anyway. So now I am booked on the FCO flight. See you there!

How do I get through to Arkia? Number online takes 2 hours and no answer, and they don't answer email after 3 days...

Delta booked me over on El Al even the flight was not officially canceled, had to try twice until the agent was willing to do it. they booked me on a flight that was already sold out on elal.com (El Al does not have anymore any economy seats available for sale the week before Rosh Hashanah).

Anyone else try this and worked? so far at 3 HUCA and no luck.

I once had success via WhatsApp, but in general they’re a disaster to deal with.

I heard of a few people having success, that's why I tried again.  I contacted them trough chat and they transferred me to "global ticketing service" or something like this.

I personally know 2 people that were successful in switching their Delta layover tickets to El Al direct. The dates were for after Yom Kippur JFK-TLV and TLV-JFK 2 days after Succos. They did have to call twice and tell the agent a sob story before they were successful. The best part was that they were able to book exit row and space saver seats for free! Just HUCA again and again until successful.

Same here, got a space saver seat for free, however there is no empty aisle seat on the whole flight both legs... I'll rather sit in a regular aisle economy seat than a middle/window space seat

I have a Delta flight from JFK-TLV on Oct. 30 for my daughter and SIL, and am going to try and see if Delta will be proactive in switching to ELAL. I booked it with Chase using UR. Anyone know if that makes a difference or if theres anything that Chase can help me with in this regard? Thanks!

yes

You have a mileage ticket from Air France. You will have to return to AF as we are not allowed to make any changes to their mileage tickets.

Also LY does not allow for any mileage tickets, just so you are aware of it.

DOT says it doesn't matter on the ticket type if a flight is canceled the operating airline is responsible to rebook

Again, we do not have access to their mileage system just as they do not have access to the DL system.

In an advance schedule change it is the responsibility of the ticketing carrier to handle changes or refund your miles.

I guess the only option is to call AF after Delta cancels.
They would try to rebook you with a stop. AF doesn't have access to Elal.
(Or call AF now if your flight already has a schedule change from when you booked it, they changed for night to afternoon)
