aircraft landed in TPA on Sunday 10/15. It stopped in OPO on the way and appears to be flying back there now. Could be it will continue to TLV. Source: Flightradar24. CS-TSW. Considering the flight was free, who got assigned to the business class cabin?

What aircraft was it?  Maybe they left business empty to be fair?  I may be on the October 18th flight to Tampa and would appreciate a "trip report" if possible

I had a one way (return) flight booked from DXB - TLV on Arkia for Oct 11 that I booked using Chase points.

I had to cancel my trip bec of the war.

Now Chase says that the (travel agent version of) Arkia website does not have any waivers to cancel because of the war (even though their consumer website states it clearly).

They said that there is "no way possible" for them to cancel for full refund without permission from the airline.

They emailed and called Arkia but of course there was no reply.

Any ideas?

I'd imagine it will be more like the covid loans with automatic forgiveness. I assume they're doing to ensure no one takes advantage, not because they need you to foot the bill.

I am on the Nashville rescue flight, indeed a 777-2 former Alitalia (the lifevests in the safety demo still had Alitalia on them).

The three of us were seated in business class after they found out we were from Kibbutz Yad Mordechai and experienced the October 7th events firsthand.  I am very humbled and grateful.
