These random flight cancelations will continue as long as the war continues...the only sure way to travel into Israel these days is via EL AL-- the situation can change on a dime and then your stuck looking for alternatives etc.
ELAL is pricey, but if your connecting via Europe (except London) it might be worth exploring that option.

Didn't see BA cancellation anywhere yet, still shows scheduled an flightradar and on BA.com, and no alert on their site either. usually the first steps airlines take is stopping ticket sales then announcing and officially canceling

A flight I had for UA is cancelled, can I just leave it cancelled and rebook when is good for me, maybe even a few months from now?

You'll have to wait for the travel waiver to be issued to see
if your ticket was expensive it might be a better idea to request a refund and buy a new ticket whenever you want
