Any current Delta Skymiles transfer or purchase bonus offers?

Are there any current Delta Skymiles transfer offers?  Either from one account to another, or MR point transfers. Or mile purchase bonuses? 

Also, do tickets need to be purchased on the branded cc to receive free baggage benefits, or does just having it give you the benefits? (In general, not just Delta).

So, here's the deal.  I need 50,000 more Delta Miles.  What makes more sense- transfer from MR and pay the excise fee, or transfer Starpoints?  MR are not as valuable to me in the long run, and Starpoints can be more useful in the future.  Any advice?

I'm pretty sure  tix have to be purchased on the card for the baggage benefits.

If you're gonna transfer, I'd say use the MR over Starwood any time. Starwood is way more valuable.

I Totally disagree with you. Just show it at the checkin counter, and they won't charge you. Did this s a lot of times.

Good to know.  I'm not flying till April, so I can apply for CC now, and still get the benefits.

 I have been doing this with Delta all the time. Never had an issue. I've done this with Continental and AA as well, but since 1/1/12 I didn't fly Continental, so I can't tell that since the official policy change.
