Not going, not on RYB's list of approved reasons to leave EY. But you should all have much hatzlacha!
link?
What are RYB's approved reasons to leave EY?
When I first came to Eretz Yisrael and for about five years after, the Rav accepted parnassa as a reason for leaving, but now in public he says not. In private, if you have nothing in EY and something convincingly good in the states, he would consider it. Lastly, he sends talmidim to the states for the sake of Klal Yisrael (ie kiruv), but only if they are the type who are up to doing some good.
Echo chambers are boring and don't contribute much to deeper thinking and understanding!
Deleted.Anything else to appeal to non Jewish readers to show up?
anyone concerned with counter protests getting rowdy?
I am posting this from an email from Beth Avraham of Baltimore:We are expecting a tremendous number of people. Traffic in Washington, DC on a normal day is a challenge. On November 14th it will be especially challenging. To that end, rally organizers are urging small groups and individuals to park near RFK stadium and walk to the National Mall, or take the Metro to the Smithsonian stop, which exits near the event's main entrance. Buses proceeding directly to Washington, DC should be prepared to park and let off passengers at a significant distance from the rally site. Your group may have to walk a far distance, but this will be part of the “march” experience. Bez"h you will be doing the walk with many of your fellow supporters of Israel to keep your spirits boosted as you make your way to the rally! High speed / high volume magnetometers will be at entrances.Counter protestors will be allowed outside the perimeter of the permitted area; police will monitor this.Homemade hand-signs are allowed (nothing with posts/sticks that can be construed as a weapon)Luggage is DISCOURAGED; personal bags are PERMITTED; people are encouraged to bring snacks and water but keep in mind that the less stuff, the easier it will be for you.
