Citi AA Card - Double points on AA purchases

The Citi AA card is supposed to earn 2 miles per dollar on purchases of AA tickets. I only got 1 mile/$ from Citi. They said the additional miles come from AA and may post later.

Anyone know if this is true, and how much longer it takes for those to post?

Only select offers come with double miles for AA purchases.

Was afraid of that. The agent I spoke to could not confirm that my account is eligible, just read the standard offer. I think I need to PUTAC again...
