Not a good look, though he clarified that he was referring to the ADL's left wing advocacy.
He is very vocal, so you can use everything else he's said to figure out what he really feels. He doesn't like antisemitism and he doesn't like anti-white (or any other racism). Here he called out jewish groups for being anti-white.
This is my take as well.

I agree with
@Dan that the totality of Musk's statements (along with his tendency to say what he actually thinks) indicates that he does not hate Jews AND that many of those going after him are looking for an excuse to bash him. He is likely mad about the progressive tendency to bash all white males and Jews per se are not the target of his anger.
BUT...progressives were NOT the subject of the original tweet and neither was the ADL. "Jewish communities" were the target.
Musk knows how to read critically and is not unaware of the influence he wields.
Non-orthodox Jews do tend to be fairly liberal, and the original poster (and plausibly Musk) resent those Jewish communities—not just progressives generally regardless of their ethnicity and religion. Grouping Jews with a particular ideology or political view together, rather than focusing exclusively on those holding an objectionable opinion or worldview, is not okay. It is similar to how NY governmental officials were targeting Orthodox Jews during the Covid restrictions. Did it matter that they did not have similar restrictions for reform or conservative Jews?
Additionally, even if being upset or casting blame on the ADL justified, should one therefore not care about when liberal Jews are subject to antisemitism? Read the original tweet. It did not just lay blame—it asserted to not giving a ****! Does anyone think that is okay?
Even if he does not resent "progressive Jews" as a class, he was careless at a time when antisemitism in on the rise, and that is not ethically okay. The law recognizes recklessness as sufficient intent for many crimes and I don't think it is being intellectually honest to dismiss the accusations against him. Sure, many politicians and media personalities may have exaggerated his wrong. But that does not whitewash his reckless rants. We should not look away at the wrongs of leaders just because we think that they are politically aligned with us.
