Windows Mobile Help
« on: January 28, 2012, 09:48:49 PM »
I'm using Samsung Intrepid, Windows Mobile 6.5 and recently have been having serious problems, specifically with file explorer.
a few days ago, pretty much out of the blue, I began having problems with file explorer;
whenever i try to delete any files, or copy/paste or anything like that, on SD card or on device, I get the following message:
Quote
Cannot delete 'filexxx': Access is denied.
Be certain that the file is not write-protected and is not currently in use.
also, whenever i run a .CAB i get:
Quote
Installation of xxx.cab was unsuccesful.
I made sure the file is not "read-only" as well as killing all running applications, also tried turning off the phone. to no avail
currently running stock explorer with "fexploreext.cab" extension as well as Resco Explorer (trial) and having same problem with both, as wellas when accesing files over activesync.
I am able to change file names, as well as access the sd card as a external drive from computer.

any WM experts out there with any suggestions? (I'm not even sure what to look for on google)

also tried the "word" fix that's all over the web (example: http://www.24hsoftware.com/How-To/this-device-is-restricted-from-downloading-this-file-type.html) and didn't help either
