Running out of memory on gmail. Any ideas?

I didnt do anything, and was at 97% for a while. at least 1.5 years ago, and suddenly I was at 72%.

I dont believe they have gotten rid of stuff.

You can also search for emails with attachments, and say up to 3 years ago (assuming nothing important still lies there somewhere) and delete.

they are constantly adding a few bytes to the account storage (the counter on login page)

have all mail forward to another account, delete them locally and have them archived on the 2nd account
