Credit Score for a Canadian/USA Citizen who lives in Canada
« on: December 24, 2023, 07:54:21 AM »
I'm trying to build my Canadian wife's US credit history in order to be able to open US CCs under her name.
She is a dual citizen, but has lived in Canada her whole life and has no US credit history at all.

I added her as an AU on my Venture X and Sapphire Preferred about 6 months ago and used the cards regularly.
I think only the Sapphire asked for her social. The Venture X only asked for name and address (if I remember correctly).
We also opened 2 joint bank accounts in the US.

For some reason, I am unable to pull up her credit score / report on Credit Karma or Experian. I keep getting an error message.

I used her SSN, and my US address (the same one I used when I added her to my cards) but nothing doing.

Anyone know what the issue may be?
Is 6 months not enough time for a credit report to be "created" under her name?

Any ideas what I should do?

How long should I wait until I have decent odds of CC approval?

Thanks!

Not sure about specifics but not all cards report.

A good way to boost the score is open a US TD credit card using the Canadian info
