Is CO contacting amex not far fetched?
I don't think CO has any reason to contact AMEX, that's not what they care about.
They care about catching brokers.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

sorry had to take care of a few things outside

CO & AA & DL are known to go after a single person they feel are selling Miles just as much as a Broker

I dont think CO will go after Amex if no transfer is done, But will do so if in fact a transfer is done to make sure its from the same persons acct

then thers a question if CO will have the person whose name the tkt will be in on any radar which means if they do then no matter how its tkted on CO, CO will have it flagged.Could be Im giving CO more credit then they desreve, but there are stories (true ones too) on FT from the extent that both AA and DL have gone to

as for throw away tkting when CO found a group was doing it on a reg basis they sent a rep to meet the inbound flight at IAH and escort the people over to where the AUS flight was leaving from, and were told,  we see for some strange reason you people cant seem to find the gate for the connecting flight so for now on we will have a rep here to meet you to make sure you dont miss your connection to AUS or you can pay what the full fare would have been if you never started from AUS. they flew to AUS and stopped the throwing away

I believe the latter is a joke.

Last time they waited for me, it was a guy who kept on bowing in BKK, leading me to a golf car, to escort us out via the Diplomats Pasport Control (yummm), and then a bell boy carried the luggage, + hailed a taxi, and had to pose on a picture.

I errhh prefer my experience...

when the stuardeses got to know him and realized this, it was discovered that duty free has a return policy.

HELP!

As I did my last and final xfer from Amex-CO, I tried to log into my account - to see the miles posted - to no avail.

I right away called One Pass, they say account was closed/red flagged due to many xfer lately. Yes I did a lot of transfers, that's simply because of the upcoming due date. Is that a sin? Is there a way out of this mess?? I have roughly 700k in my one pass account, I can't afford to lose that all! I'm about to cry... Well not exactly. But I'm shaken.

No, but I'm stocking up for the future. Is it a sin to get points from friends and/or family? Am I not allowed to buy MR points for use of travel?

I'm indeed in trouble, question is how do get out of trouble. Isn't there a legitimate reason why miles were transfered from someone elses account?

I'm afraid this is not the only horror story with co I recently heard. They are catching up with American airlines.

Exactly! Is that a valid excuse? Or there's no way one is allowed to xfer from someone else's Amex account?

However, since we're approaching the 'Day of Atonement' I'll confess as to what may have led this to happen. Since I have learned the trade here on DDF, I've become quite active in this field, advising friends and family on how to make best use of their miles/points. But as most people are dumb enough not willing to learn, I offered my help, so they basically transferred their MR points to my One Pass account, and I did the rest for them. (Not on a mass production level, I might have had 4-5 bookings on my account for this year, excluding mine and my companion's bookings)

Also, the last couple of days, those friends transferred their remaining MR Points into my OP account, for future bookings.

Now, is there anything wrong with this practice? Is it frowned upon?

Upon reading previous comments on this thread, I learned I made a grave mistake by letting those friends pay for their booking fees with their credit cards, little did I know...

I hope they would understand my plea, and so should the almighty on our day of atonement! Amen!

How many amex accounts did you transfer from? I dont think you should have had issues if it was 1 or 2 accounts. If you transfered from 5-10, within such a short time then at some stage, its logic that co will audit...

If all you did is as you said, your friends transferred into your CO account and then used the miles for their own flights, i don't see anything wrong with that. Explain to them that your friends are stupid and you were just doing them a favor and helping them book with their own miles, albeit in your account. Gluck!

Hi guys,
I'd following this website and forums for a while, but I never had registered,
this subject made me to register.

I have about 700,000 Continental points transferred from Amex.
the points were transferred from a few different accounts with different names,
and I have made a few bookings in the past on my acc with different names,
beginning of Sep I transferred all my points in to Continental because of the deadline,
What can I do to prevent Continental getting me Red Flagged??

Whatever you did already you can't really change. I'm not sure what the question is.

Transfer 'em to United. If you need to use them in Continental later, just transfer them back as you need it.
