How many household accounts does Costco allow?

If you have a household member and set up an online account for them, it’s 14 days per online account so I have just been buying on alternate weeks (i.e., can double the amount of gift cards you purchase per month).

When adding a “Person Within Household”, it does NOT provide a different Costco number (maybe need to go to store to get it?). Hence, when trying to open a separate online account and being prompted to enter the Costco number, I entered original account holder’s membership number which resulted in the system populating the info of the account manager which THEN results in orders for instacart cards to be cancelled due to max quantity reached.

Can you please provide instructions of how to open a household account that has a separate quantity limit from the primary account holder?  Thanks

I was wondering the same. Is this somehow different from my account that has my wife already listed as a co-account holder?

I chatted with them and they insisted the household member needs to go into the store to active their account, I pushed back and eventually they provided the membership number for the household member.

Business you can add more.  But expensive.  Like 65$. Though if it's on the executive and gets it's own membership number to get 2% not so bad.

Never had that issue. They always allowed to add and it would generate a new account number. Can be possible now that they are cracking down to see you live at the same address.
