As usual for Chol HaMoed. You show up at 2 you will be dealing with massive crowds.

My issue here is the employee told me they received 1100 bookings for today (4 people per booking), capacity is probably a couple of hundred, hence guaranteed chaos. Why not limit bookings for each day to a few hundred? It does seem calculated to then offer despairing parents who have shlepped all the way with their now devastated kids the chance to upgrade for $$ thereby prolonging the wait even longer for those not willing to upgrade.
If I had to guess I would say if not for people who arrived after me upgrading my wait would have been closer to an hour or so which seems reasonable

Nothing to do with chol hamoed. I went the last time you posted on ddms and NJ location was a mob scene. Hundreds of people on line. I left the mall and went somewhere else. I saw a report of them not letting people with free tickets in last time (they said they filled the quota of free for the day)

ETA: I'm sure chol hamoed will add to the choas, however, when I went the majority of the choas wasn't jewish (a lot of jews, but definitely not the majority)

My sister also told me that last time they said they reached the quota and weren't admitting more. But they did say the tickets are valid until the end of the year.

For parties of 8 or more it was $8 pp for membership for the whole year. Not free but not bad IMO

Unclear if this is planned scam but certainly a waste of your time

FYI - They just told us that our tickets are expired becasuse from 2022 promotion (even though doesnt say it anywhere on the tickets or their website)

I made tickets for February 2024 (when this came out like 6 months ago...)
Since then, I've heard reports of them not validating the free tickets.

Is that still the case? Did they cancel it all or are my tickets still valid?

I used them 2 weeks ago, the reservation was made for sometime in July. As long as it was in 2023 they said no issues with it. I went to the one in Woodbridge NJ. I would not pay close to full price for it, but it was cute for the kids.

You're saying as long as it was bought (for free) on 2023, then I can still enter in Feb 2024 - it doesn't expire?

And wasn't there a thing about then not honoring the free purchases?
Also, if I chose a date in February, do I need to stick to that date or I can go any time?
