When To Use Free Rental Days and When To Pay

For those that have free rental days stacked up, is there a certain price that you aim for before using them?
Or do you just use them as they come?

I generally use them for 1-4 day mid-week rentals, where most companies do not offer coupons, and the rates are usually higher. Also National free days work for one-ways. Good value there.

which rental company? everyone is different, by hertz it would prob. be best to use it as one way rentals

I find rates significantly higher in NYC than LA where I live so I use the points for rentals when I visit NY

+100 especially between CA/US for example  from YYZ-JFK it usually costs about $300 or just 1200 hertz points

free days you can buy online from other people for very cheap but points you always get when renting especially when you find cupon numbers that give duble points
