https://crownheights.info/chabad-news/848574/breaking-tunnel-found-burrowed-under-womens-section-of-770-possibly-destabilizing-the-building/This looks pretty wild. Hard to believe at face value. Is this legit?
Why would you put anything past the Tzfati Taliban?
AP dead or Obi dead?
No, but I have a hard time believing it could have been kept secret. There is one part of the story that is easily verifiable. Was the women's section closed on Shabbos?
Sounds like there are internal conflicts by chabad. Can someone explain it in short to me?Both (or however many) viewpoints.
It's a major split in Chabad, and the bitter fight has been going on for years. There are basically two camps. The first, and the one one that most Israelis fall into, especially those from Tzfat, sings, "v'AD ziknah ani hu." The second, and the one that most Americans fall into, sings, "v'ad zikNAH ani hu".
it's good to be a Lubavitcher
When AJK and I were in Japan we ate at a felafel restaurant run by Rabbi Edery, the "yellow flag" unofficial Chabad in Tokyo. Another diner asked where we would be for Shabbos, by the regular Chabad House or the 2 scoops Chabad House? We asked, "2 scoops?"To which he responded, you know like the 2 scoops of Raisins in Raisin Bran? Well Rabbi Edery runs the 2 scoops of moshiach yellow flag Chabad House in Tokyo.
In short:An internal tunnel was dug under 770.Viewpoint A: Gives access to 770 when the doors are locked.Viewpoint B: that’s illegal, has destabilized the building, and is frankly insane.
It sounds like it's too broad of a question to answer in short. I'll go in reverse. Why would whoever dig those tunnels want to dig a tunnel into 770? Is 770 locked at any point of a day? If yes, why?
That article is working overtime to conjecture the wildest motivation they can come up with. That said, there isn't really a sane explanation
