Iberia to Israel
« on: January 23, 2024, 02:49:54 PM »
I am trying to book tix to Israel for a bar mitzvah and pesach. 4/16-5/1
We are nervous to book with Austrian or Swiss since they could cancel their flights if the situation gets worse.
Was thinking about booking a ticket with Iberia via Madrid.
Since they are a code share with El Al do you all think if the Madrid- TLV portion of the Iberia flight is cancelled that I would be rebooked on an El Al flight from Madrid to TLV?

Any insight is appreciated!!!

I have does that for people however only on flights with a codeshare flight number which not all flight have
Additionally they will only rebook up until a certain fare class
If the class needed is not available they will not rebook you even if there are seats available additionally they may let you split a reservation is there are some seats available

AA told me that codeshare flights they will rebook me on any airline that flies basically ly
however if you already asked for any insight..
i don't think all tese tricks are worth it, half the times they dont work and you'll bite the bullet later for last minute tickets better off booking ly on priceline which is changeable for fee but still couple hundred dollars less in some cases and you guaranteed have a flight
