bc of a delayed flight I dont see why that wouldnt count for the delay laws. If he was flying ny-cdg-tlv and the ny-cdg got delayed so he missed his cdg-tlv flight would he not be due compensation according to the law?

Booked a Transcontinental F class on AA using Avios.

flight was delayed three hours and switched to much smaller plane with two classes. They put the PAX in coach.

Delay was non weather related.

What should I get, and from whom? (OneWorld, Ba, AA)

I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

Finally, someone posts a scenario which actually deserves compensation.

You'd go to AA, not BA.

If you were booked on the A321, I'd specifically point out you booked that flight because "blah blah."

Don't think he can get BA to refund some of his avios?

He could.

Had this with NYC-YYZ J and they swapped to only Y plane and they refunded the avios.

They never made a formal announcement...could be because the PA system was down..:)
Maybe we've got something there  ;D

However, outside it quickly got crazy at the counter as people tried to rebook..there was a family on the way to a funeral so united was under pressure

Yeah I was standing next to them as they were talking to the counter lady, with hoards of other people waltzing right up to the counter and interrupting. It was a fine moment when an Israeli lady started yelling at the kids and they started crying  :-[

I discovered that my form wasn't actually submitted, even though I hit submit and the page changed. I contacted their website support instead regarding that issue, so they let me send in my issue by e-mail (though it took a few weeks for them to respond to the website issue)

One word: weather

They *claimed* weather but in reality that was not the reason for the delay (though I'm not sure how far I can take that).

Also do Israeli delay laws apply on flights TO Israel, or only flights departing from Israel?
