British Airways
MIA-LHR-TLV

MIA-LHR was delayed by 2.5 hours due to their computers being down so missed the LHR-TLV connection. They only offered to put on the next BA flight which was 14 hours later and wouldn't provide hotel.

Compensation as per EU regulations: €600.

Did he just stay in lhr or did he leave. I realized 2 weeks ago that it's a hassle to leave lhr after checking in.

He left. It was a day layover.

Since it's a flight to TLV Israeli law should apply. Not sure if that would be more or less than EU mandated compensation, but they are definitely required to reimburse for lodging, meals and transportation in addition to the penalty for the delay.

ETA:

looks like Israeli law would provide for approximately NIS 2060 which is only about EUR 475.

Hotel is only if overnight layover.

I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

LY27 TLV-EWR has been delayed from 12:30 to 9:00 is there any compensation I can request besides for hotel/transportation?

Now the flight has been completely cancelled after being pushed to 12 PM
Thank you for contacting El Al.

I am sorry for the inconvenience that you were caused due to the delay of our flight LY027 on the 8th April 2016.

Despite signing an agreement with El Al employees including pilots, we experienced disruptions to our flight schedule without prior notice and the pilots did not co-operate with requests from El Al management.

El Al took all steps at our disposal to prevent the disruptions, and worked as quickly as possible to find solutions.

In accordance to the Israeli Aviation Services law (compensation and assistance for flight cancellation or change of conditions 5772-2012), in paragraph 6 (e) (1) compensation is not awardable when the flight is delayed due to extraordinary circumstances and the airline has done all within its power and could not prevent the flight delay.

However, if you incurred out-of-pocket expenses due to the delay of our flight, please advise me the amount, send me the relevant receipts so we may consider your claim and your home address.

I hope that your future flights will prove to be free of any problems and to your full satisfaction.

Yours sincerely,

I guess not

Jetblue, checked in online, didn't see option to email boarding pass, didn't have app, saw article on this on aa but got to airport like 38 min to departure and they could not print pass so put me on next flight, breezed tsa and got help desk agents to give me pass for first flight but they closed gates early like 25 min before departure!!

Next flight delayed by over 30 min so I'm so far 3:30 late. What can I request ?

BTW no where does jetblue let me email pass when I checked in, only print, WTF?

Any chance of getting compensation for delayed luggage (2 days) which resulted in food spoiling?

Booked with CSP, is it worth filing with them?

VS delayed my friends luggage (LHR-JFK yesterday) so far almost 24 hours. They say it'll be delivered today. Any EU legal requirements they have to comply with?
What can I force them to compensate me for?

I don't think EU has anything that covers this, though I'm not sure.
See up-thread about my experience with VS delayed luggage compensation

Thanks. Did you only submit the claim after the baggage was returned? How long was it missing for when you submitted the claim?

Ok, so here's what AA did to me on Monday. Had a flight booked from PHL-ALB to take the Bar exam. Flight was scheduled for 2pm, kept getting delayed because they didn't have a crew, and then when they finally did get a crew together, they cancelled it because of weather. Had to run to Hertz to get into a rental car to drive to ALB in the pouring rain so that I didn't miss the Bar. I plan on raising hell with them regardless of how good my chances are of getting compensated because I just need to get it off my chest lol, but realistically, can I expect anything?
