I am sorry for the inconvenience that you were caused due to the delay of LY028 on the 4th June 2017 from Newark to Tel-Aviv.
The flight was delayed for the safety of our passengers due to a mechanical problem with the aircraft performing the flight.
The delay in departure was recorded as 5.20 hours. In accordance to the Israeli Aviation Services law (compensation and assistance for flight cancellation or change of conditions 5772-2012), airlines do not compensate for flight delays that are 8 hours or less.
As a token of our regret I would like to grant you a voucher in the amount of USD300, which may be used as partial payment for future flights with El Al. This is valid for one year from the date of issue.
