Does anyone have experience with BA claim for EU delay. How long does it take to get the money back?
4-6 weeks

I filed a delayed baggage claim with Swiss. I got a email stating that In order to get compensation i should send my banking info , I replied that it sounds fishy , just send me a check. The his is what I got today. Is this normal practice ?

Thank you for your response and excuse my late reply.

We are not able to refund anything to your credit card unless it is something you bought on our website directly like the ticket for your trip. The only way we will be able to refund your expenses is via a bank transfer.

In order to do this to an American Bank account is if you provide me the following information:

Name and address of account holder
Name and address of the bank
Bank code / clearing number (exact 9 digits)
Account number (up to 17 digits)

Be assured this is not a spam email, but an official request from SWISS International Airlines in order to process a transfer to your account.

Looking forward hearing from you.

Yours sincerely

Absolutely normal practice. File EU comp claim with them this year. They direct deposited money in the account. Very smooth transaction.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

Can someone advise regarding compensation for last night's UA 91 TLV-EWR cancellation.

(Forced to rebook new Elal tix due to YT)

Any reason why it wouldn't be included in Israeli law?

LH was a local wire

I actually created a new checking for the wire and paid an incoming fee. Didn't want chase to see an incoming wire from an arab bank :)

Filed a complaint with LH for damaged baggage withen 7 days of my flight but saw no response from them after waiting for 2 weeks of submitting a response on their website.
So I then went ahead and sent an email around 15 days after my flight, as well I didn't receive any kosher food on my flight, they wrote back to me; I'm sorry you have to submit a request within 7 Days of travel and then for the inconvenience of the food they offered $100 wired to my checking account. Is there anything more I can try, to prove to them that I submitted an email within 7 Days on my flight meaning I submitted a form online their website versus sending an email?

Recently flew from JFK to FLL with delta and as the plane was taxiing down the runway about a liter or more of water came out of the ceiling and landed on me and my seat. The whole takeoff, till about 10k ft, me, my wife and 2 kids were on 1.5 seats instead of 3.
During the flight I emailed them about it to the wecare@delta.com email but got no response. I sent the same thing again but I cc’d the 3 executive emails I found but still no response.
Today I sent it to them direct and I got a VM within 2 hours from some executive in Atlanta wanting to talk to me.
Does she just want to apologize or offer compensation? How should I go about the call?

This sounds like something that could make the news especially if you could scream racism like those idiots did on AA. In any case it seems that Delta is trying to avoid that.

I personally would be very polite and gracious about it, and not try to milk them for it.

I’ll call her tomorrow and see what she has to say.
I have a whole bunch of pictures and videos of it. Many other passengers took videos too. I got the real drench but others got wet too. (Which I mentioned in the email)

Good luck. I hope you don't mind that I had a good laugh at your expense. It must have been horrible to get drenched like that, but I couldn't resist. Hopefully you'll get some nice compensation that will make up for it.

Oh it was funny. Kind of. After I changed all my clothes.
All the Jews around me were telling me I don’t need a sukkah as it was raining. I guess they thought it was hilarious too.

Nobody heard about the delta flight that had two ovens go up in flames mid flight one after the next?
It was 2 days before Yom Kippur...
