Friend flying YYZ-EWR during the whole United fiasco a few weeks ago. Checked in for flight early in the morning. Flight was for 12 was delayed to 1. Showed up to airport approx 75 min before. Was at gate approx 55 min before. Agent said gave away seats because you have to be by gate 90 min before flight (most likely made up. United site seems like 30 min at gate 90 min to check in). Managed to rebook much later but to LGA. Had to Uber to EWR and got home 6/7 hours later than planned. Complained to UA got $100 voucher per pax.
Is this considered involuntary bump?
