my friend filed with a third party collection agency and just received this email. once the airline doesnt comply its safe to assume they are right? and more effort is a waste?
Hi Mr

We’re writing to let you know that Bluebird Airways is not being cooperative with our claims team regarding your flight to Athens.

Despite this, we still believe you’re entitled to your compensation and we want to have our legal team look into your case. To do this, we’ll urgently need some additional information from you, which we have listed below.

- Assignment Agreement for #1      , #2      , #3       - with correct booking reference; to sign, they need to follow this link:

- A copy of e-ticket/booking confirmation. It should contain: full name of the passengers, booking reference number, ticket number, flight details of full original itinerary, including: dates, flight numbers, departure and arrival airports.

- A copy of valid passport/National ID (with signature visible) for you and your fellow passengers
Seems like he is dealing with a scam please have him stay far away. There is no reason such a company needs his passport (with signature on it)

I booked travel with a Chase Freedom on Wizz Air, for June 2023. I was denied boarding cuz of overbooking. I was given an option of taking a next morning flight, which wasn't gonna work since I had to make an appt the next morning and wasn't gonna miss it. I ended up booking another Wizz flight from a closeby airport.

I got a "denied boarding form" that was supposed to compensate me EUR250 per passenger, + cover for any other incurred expenses. I opened a claim but they've simply been ignoring me.

Anything I can do with Chase or Wizz?

I once filed with them and they took well over a month to respond so I wouldn't say that all is lost. They are a budget airline after all...

I actually had a very quick experience with them. Got a compensation for a delayed flight within 2 weeks (submitted through their app).

You would only be eligible if it was on a UK carrier and the delay was within their control
Time to file depends on the country I believe France allows for 5 years
This is assuming you arrived past your scheduled arrival time

Where do you get that from? Last I checked EU261 applies to any flight in and out of the EU with any carrier...

My daughter flew on Air France from DFW-TLV with a stopover in CDG. Second suitcase (which we paid $100 baggage fee for) never arrived. CSR told her on the phone that it's considered delayed until after 21 days and that she has a $100 allowance to spend on essentials until then. After 21 days she will be paid separately for lost bag.
Now they're saying max they'll pay is $1,697 and that includes whatever she spent on essentials. To add insult to injury they won't even refund the $100 bag fee.
Is there anything to be done here? value of the contents of the bag was probably closer to $4,000

What credit card did you use? Maybe you have baggage insurance with them.
Did you buy any travel insurance? Maybe they cover baggage issues.

CSR=they're
CSR is usually the acronym for Chase Sapphire Reserve which would be the CC not the airline.
ETA: but I assume you meant Customer Service Representative.
Small people talk about other people.
Average people talk about things
BIG PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IDEAS.

AA Overnight Delay in CVG - Reasonable Compenation?
« Reply #5377 on: October 06, 2023, 12:12:44 AM »

This says it all.
Put us up in the Raddison (25 minutes away)

They are sending me a check soon for the Ubers
The meal vouchers were useless

They already gave me 10,000 miles per person, as they say, that is reasonable compensation.
I already pushed back and got nowhere. Is there a precedent or good argument I can make for more?

Option 2: they can take back the 10,000 miles and instead give me $200 vouchers per person.
Is that a better value?

Are cancelled flights leaving TLV eligible for any compensation? I assume not because of war but checking just in case
