According to DOT they need to pay hotel accomodation and ground transportation no?

https://www.transportation.gov/airconsumer/airline-cancellation-delay-dashboard
If they say weather...
Do you have proof otherwise?

Sorry it was not clear

If anyone can guide or let me know if it's eligible for compensation il appreciate it
Wed July 24 JFK-ZRH-BUD 20ppl
LX 17 : Original departure time 4:15pm, actual departure time 5:16pm
Original arrival time to ZRH 6:05am, actual arrival time 7:05am
LX 2250: left ZRH 7:20am leaving 20ppl stranded, they were all booked on 1 itinerary.
Checking LX2250 flight history it does show multiple dates leaving later then scheduled departure, I have no clue why they wouldn't wait knowing that there are a group of 20 passengers that needs to make this flight.
Now when trying to rebook, airport agent said there aren't enough seats for 20 so we need to split up, some arrived at Bud 2pm, some 8pm and some next day 8am
I tried this website: Airhelp and it says that there is no compensation for this:

Does anyone know the rules 1) can we get compensation for this and if yes 2) how and where do I claim?

The rule is generally that if the delay is weather related, they don't owe compensation.
You can still try to claim, nothing to lose, but they aren't required according to the law.

Is there a way to check why the 1st flight was delayed? Besides what this website is saying?

Not really. Only United shows the reason. if it was raining, they are free to claim whatever they want, unfortunately.

It doesn't go by flight rather the whole trip O/D
And due to the length of the trip only kicks in 4 hours after schedule arrival time
They may still claim weather but this is how to file

So since the group arrived MUCH later then original time we can still claim? Do you have a link where to claim? And do other passengers get other compensation based on their final arrival time?

Did anyone ever worked with this Website? https://www.airhelp.com/en/
Are they trustworthy or is it better to go to the official claim Website of EU or whatever country the airline is under?

First try to claim with airline directly, I suggest claiming it on LH.com

claim directly from airlines. they have their own forms.  alternatively air help is one of the best companies but you will pay a large portion to them

Delta sent me 2500 miles for a flight yesterday that didn't have headphones or bistro boxes, within 2 hours of me landing, before I even contacted them. Funny how easy that was when a nightmare flight situation a few weeks ago took a ton of correspondence with them and still didn't reach a satisfactory conclusion.

Greetings -

On an American Airlines Business class flight (LHR to JFK) a few days ago, the flight attendant spilled an entire glass of red wine all over my dress shirt and slacks - ruining them.  Dry cleaners could not remove.  I did not complain on board. Am I too late to submit a complaint or will I just get a bot response ?

Thanks for any advice !

No this certainly warrants some comp. If you have pics, receipts should help too.

Also if you have elite status will make a difference.

Thank you @ UKinNYS. Have pics/receipts ready and am Lifetime Gold with AA. Received a botted response from AA.com dismissing it so will now escalate. Gone are the days of a real person to complain to !

Is that in addition to a rebooked flight? If so, that's probably as good as it gets.

United flight from Naples, Italy to Newark friday am cancelled due to issues with the plane as we started boarding. They were only able to offer us flights that would arrive after Shabbos started so they rebooked us for Sunday. On the phone they said the best they can do is $300 credit each for my husband and I but this barely covers our additional expenses incurred. Any advice how to get more compensation. They told me I can put in a customer care request but wondering if anyone has had luck with that.
