PHL to ATH- One way

AA

The flight was cancelled hours before departure, and I was not given a reason. I called AA, and the only other flight option was from PHL on Saturday so I had to make other plans. I booked with AS points and paid with Amex plat Bis. I called Amex, and they said it didn't fall under one of the cancellation options. I submitted a complaint with AA

Can I claim anything with AMEX? Any other options for compensation?

TIA!
seems like some strike going on, I  think Amex usually does have good insurance for canceled flights

I am currently in the airport. I took a flight from tel aviv to jfk with a stopover in frankfurt. Elal to frankfurt and condor to jfk. On the plane, El al put a blind guy next to me so it took me a while to get out of my seat because I had to wait for him to move. By the time I got out of my seat I found that someone else took my carry on with my American passport in it (my Israeli passport was in my pocket). So I couldn't board my next flight because I didn't have my American passport.  There was no one from elal in the entire airport and spent a long time trying to find anyone who cared, including spending a while with the police. After 3 hours, baggage claim called the police and said that someone returned my bag. Because of this whole fiasco I missed my next flight and missed the wedding that I was supposed to officiate. Who can I turn to for any compensation and how?

Flight to TLV with the last leg on A3. Booked with chase points (Ink biz preferred). Baggage didnt arrive in TLV.

They said they will deliver the bag within  5 days.

I assume A3 will cover reasonable expenses for clothing. Are the generally good about reimbursing? What is considered reasonable?

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question. I'm curious though, was the first flight Emirates from EWR with the short connection?
I wonder if they often delay the luggage.

No they are not good about reimbursing.

On their website they write 40 EUR a day https://en.aegeanair.com/travel-info/travelling-with-aegean/baggage/delayed-damaged-baggage

In my experience I tried to claim from them and they made a fuss even about that amount although I did eventually get that and more. My delay was just over 24 hours though I only claimed around $200.

If they give something, probably $50 or 5,000 miles per passenger.

If someone can help me that would be great. I purchased BA tickets on my chase preferred. I was on the jfk-tel Aviv flight stopping in London. The London to Israel got cancelled (this past Sunday). To make matters worse they lost one suitcase that had all of my daughters clothes. She has nothing to wear. BA said they would compensate me but I am hearing otherwise. How do I go about submitting a claim to Chase? It asks me for the date of purchase of my suitcase and a receipt but that was years ago. I am not interested in laying out so much money for all their clothes shoes etc.

I went through Chase recently for a delayed baggage and was successful. But you need to be persistent and will need to lay out money till you get it back.

First chase will want to know that BA didn't pay or what their response is before paying. They don't want you to double dip.
You will want to know what chase max pay per bag is and don't spend more than that.

Regarding your specific question about luggage cost, you should be able to say what type of bag it is( this may be listed on your claim with BA) and send them current replacement cost.

It changed recently, best to contact Chase and ask.
Meanwhile file with BA, in writing, and get it all documented. Is a pain but that's how it is.

My domestic 2 hour flight on delta was cancelled and my family and myself were rebooked on another airline 4 hour delay.
I reached out for compensation and after 3 weeks was given $75 per person airline credit.
Should I be happy with that, or will the airline give more if I ask?

united 2 hour delay $75 etc. few times in last few weeks, responses come within 1 hour to 1 day, seems like AI responding ?

I'm sorry to hear that your recent flight didn't go as planned. We always do our best to keep every flight on schedule, but unfortunately, disruptions outside of our control can still happen.

I researched the details of the flight and because the flightUA, was delay due to extreme weather.

Your request is completely understandable given the impact to your travel plans. However, we aren't able to provide compensation or reimbursement for disruptions as a result of weather, air traffic conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control.

We're committed to improving, and want to make this right. I will send you a $75 electronic travel certificate as a goodwill gesture . You can use this certificate towards the purchase of your next United or United Express flight. It will arrive via email in the next few business days.

We do value your feedback, though, and will share it with the right teams as we work to improve everyone's travel experience.

Thank you for flying with United. We appreciate your business and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on board again soon.

Flight returned to IAD due to mechanical, delayed six hours for new aircraft and crew. What is the contact at UAL for compensation?
