My in-laws were booked on a AA flight lga-yyz.  The flight was cancelled(after waiting for about 4hours in the airport).

Said they Couldn't book them on another since it was booked with BA avios.
Offered to put them on a Friday night flight...
What's the best way to at least get back the original payment?
They have a return flight Sunday as well, which they obviously will not be taking.

BA award on AA. Flight out of ORD delayed from 8pm (not because of weather for our flight but rather bc AA was a mess from weather earlier in the day). Finally on the plane at 12:30 when they told us they couldn't get a pilot and we were offloaded and told flight would depart at 6am. Now getting close and assuming flight takes off any chance of compensation from AA? Doubt BA would care right ..?

This is my first time requesting compensation from UA.  I've requested compensation from other airlines in the past as a result of excessive delays, but what happened to me below was a first.  I was offered $150, but I think I deserve more.  What do you think?

--------------
Hello,
I was on UAxxxx on nn OCT 2015. My Confirmation number is xxxxxx. On
this flight, we had to make an emergency landing in Memphis, crash
positions and all, because of mechanical/engine problems on this plane.
This was easily the scariest moment of my life. We landed in Memphis,
and the problems continued there. I waited in line for close to two
hours to get rebooked. It took this long because your computers were
down, and the only 2 agents that could handle these tasks had to call in
to the central reservations line for every rebooking. The agents were
able to get every passenger they handled a confirmed seat on every
flight. For some reason, they could only "hold" a seat for me from IAH
to SAN, but could not get me an assigned seat. I had paid for a first
class upgrade. When I got my new flight details to IAH, several first
class seats were open between IAH-SAN, but the agents did not assign me
a seat. By the time I had finally landed in IAH, all first class seats
were gone, and my only option was a middle seat in the back of coach.
Agents in IAH said this was mishandled by the Memphis agents and that
they should have assigned me a seat. IAH was unable to get me a first
class seat on that flight and instead moved me to a later flight. That
later flight ended up being delayed by two hours because of scheduling
and crew problems. I finally made it to my final destination after
midnight (west coast time), more than 8 hours after my scheduled landing
time. Also, because I was on a later first class flight, no meals were
served. Had I been on the correct first class flight, I would have
received a meal.

I am requesting compensation for the emergency landing we had to go
through, the 2 hour delay to get my reassigned flight, the lack of an
assigned seat causing me to have to move to a later flight, and a refund
of the first class upgrade.

Get a supervisor on the phone. You should be able to get $250. More than that might be tough with United IME

True but what is deserved and what they will give is 2 different things

if you ask for less you will get less --set your goal to what you think you are entitled to and explain why! --food- multi delays- scare of a life time -upgrade --plus anything else -- each is worth 150 minimum "scare a lot more"

American Airlines. MIA-BWI. Incident: First class bags (tix booked with points) never made it onto the flight, they did not tell us this until an hour after the plane arrived at the gate. supposed to arrive today. What  should i ask for and what are the chances of getting compensation?

Got a measly $25 e-credit for each ticket. wrote back how i wanted 25k points returned because first class was not given priority. they responded that main reason for first class is larger seats and privacy and tough luck. Any ideas for further recourse?

This is precisely why I hate airlines. This is why I like to rape them. If they can get away with this they should let customers get their FF accounts back after selling miles for $50. That not, of course because they are powerful. Again, this is why I like to abuse you. You abuse me so I'll abuse you.
