Cathay 1am flight EWR-HKG canceled 30 minutes before scheduled departure.
After getting sent from 1 agent to another 3x, no one at the airport would help rebook a flight when direct flights were still available. I had to call Hong Kong offices and after 3 hours I finally got rebooked for a flight 9 hours later from PHL-ORD-HKG with a 4 hour stopover. Furthermore, my seat was broken on the plane, and instead of upgrading me to an open premium economy seat, they tried fixing it for an hour before sticking me in the last row.

I complained to Cathay FA and she filed a complaint for me. I was offered a measly $100 voucher for all this trouble.
Any ideas how I can get more? Are they legally allowed to screw me with a terrible indirect flight and get away scot-free!?

Update: After responding to them, I was then offered $200 credit or $200 cash.
I took the cash of course.

A friend of mine was telling me about a flight he took back in June which he accidentally booked for the wrong month and showed up at the airport not realizing that he booked for a month before or it was a month later they told him he would have to pay an additional $150 for them to change the date or they can't do anything, he was with a bunch of friends at that time,as he was willing to pay $150 to have his date changed for the flight that leaves on that date at the right month but his friends weren't willing to do that so they ended up losing out on the original fight booked (was for 4-5 ppl) any chance he can get his money back?

BOS-SFO on UA. Wife and I were seated 39CD with aisle between us. FA announced over PA that a family of three with small children were separated and wanted to sit together...any volunteers? DW and I and the middle seat next to me all offered, and they moved us all to isolated middle seats.  FA offered all kinds of food and drinks.... I declined but asked for miles. Gave me and my DW 7,500 each, on the spot via their special app. Nice!

Wanna post more details? Luggage gone forever? How much did they reimburse? Did they require proof of value for what was inside?

It was a long and complicated process... lots of phone calls and emails till I finally got to someone that responded.
Yes, luggage is gone for good (quite common for RAM, based on my research).
1,131 SDR  (abt $1,600) which they claimed was the most they are required to give based on the Montreal convention.
Yes, I had to send in receipts

United TATL 772 flight from Europe to US. No IFE in Eco.
Sent email expecting maybe $50 but they generously sent $150 voucher.

Not sure about the exact situation, my mom was on the flight. She said all rows around her had no IFE during the entire flight.

Anyone have experience with aeroflot, if they compensate for delayed baggage? Or refund you on essential item's that you purchased?

So I’m sitting on this flight which was supposed to leave LAX almost 4 hours ago. Pilot just confessed that delay was due to maintenance issues, not snow at JFK. Delta. Anything I can get?

Your plane left at 2:29am because the inbound flight only landed at 1:18am (nearly 4 hours late). Seems like it was due to weather at JFK, could of been maintenance too though.

The captain said that plane out of NY was delayed due to maintenance issues.
