What are my chances of receiving any compensation for AA flight back on December that was cancelled. It was a connection in Dallas and because of a shortage of aircraft (Due to weather in Atlanta). Are those considered weather related? AA Declined me refund of my miles etc. Is this a case of HUCA? Fill out another complaint form?

I got this email from UA in regards to canceled flight from TLV Due to maintenance. Is this true ?




Thank you for contacting United Air Lines regarding your recent travel with us. 
 
We have again reviewed your request for cash compensation and found that we complied with all the applicable regulations at the time of your flight.
 
I understand that the delay was, at best, very frustrating and truly regret you were disappointed.  Please let me explain why cash compensation is not applicable under the Israeli Air Passenger Law.  Because all routine preventative maintenance actions were performed on the aircraft as scheduled, and the cancellation could not have been reasonably predicted or avoided, the event is considered force majeure and exclusionary to the mandatory compensation rules.
 
Please know that our legal department carefully reviews each of these matters with our system and technical operations groups to ensure we are in full compliance with the appropriate legal standards.  Although the cause of the irregularity was extraordinary and unable to be avoided, we did what we could to minimize it, and have nothing further to advise at this point.   
Although additional compensation is not forthcoming, we sincerely hope that you will choose to fly with United Airlines in the future.

Of course you should get fully refunded if your flight was canceled, it doesn't matter what the reason was.

You can ask for compensation but they don't have to refund you

EWR-TLV requested Polaris bedding upon boarding and again after door closed. Was promised and they never delivered. Second time this happened.

They sent a email to respond with my Bank Info and they will deposit $100 into my account.

My only question is it's fraud, as I never heard anybody ever requesting to send bank info. It would be interesting to now how they got my flight info and request....

Many airlines, especially European airlines request banking info and deposit.

If you're worried, make sure the bank info given has no funds.

Class: Economy (Bought ticket)
Incident: Didn't allow me to use my graco carseat for infant bought seat.
Compensation: Orbitz refunded me the full ticket for infant USD 654.91!
Issue: Somehow when I made my reservation they charged me a $60 price match fee
Compensation: Refunded $60.
Incident: Damaged my uppababy stroller
Compensation: Partial refund of $350 from Qantas

Just to clarify, it was $100 Canadian which equals $75 USD.

Incident:  Flight was cancelled 2 tickets rebooked on stopover Polish Air economy plus - but the middle seat  and aisle. No kosher food on polish and no lounge access in Tlv or Warsaw
Compensation: $300 for each
Am I wrong to think that is awful?
