Been two plus weeks since I sent an email to AC, am I suppose to wait longer or reach out to them once more?

My brother in law just got delayed from ORD to LHR on the way to TLV.  18 hour delay.  Original ticket was purchased through BA, but operated by AA.  Any tips how much and how to get compensation from AA or BA?

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately hes isn't entitled to mandatory compensation, but he can go to AA for something, although they are usually stingy, they should be a little more generous here.

They have told him "since you switched out of the AA system to be rebooked on BA, we no longer have any record of the flight." Sounds like a load of garbage to me.

Was the AA flight delayed, or BA?

AA flight was delayed because of crew shortage.  Original ticket was booked through BA.  New flight to LHR is on BA (18 hours later).

i wonder if theres any hope for compensation.....
LY. had 12:05 am flight. arrived at airport only to be told they only see me on 8:30am flight. i rarely check my emails so i quickly ckecked and saw an unread email from some weeks before informing me of flight cancellation and rebooking for 6:25. how it became 8:30 i still dont know. anyhow, she offered to put me on 12:20 am flight to jfk (i was enroute to ewr) with no bassinet or kosher meals guaranteed. i was traveling with infant and had absolutely no intention of waiting around that long so took jfk option. do they owe me anything?

why not mandatory Israeli compensation since the reason isn't weather related

Yes May 9. First they rebooked me for Friday thru BRU, and I asked them to change it for Delta direct for Friday.

Thanks guys.

My client was also rebooked for Friday via BRU (for the data keeping people - rebooked from KLM award to KL to BRU & then "SN" in "I" class to NY) - but I managed to assist him to be rebooked for that day to NY. You didn't have luck to get rebooked that day?

Nope. I tried all over. I was ready to go Economy and they didn’t give me any options.

How long do United compensation checks take to arrive? Is it 6-8 weeks like they say, or is it usually quicker?
