I'm thinking though, why would 1 care if you look   for options online instead of wasting their time, it's not like they are making a ton of $ off you.

There are situations where some TA's have access to special fares not listed online.

I'm no expert on this.

It wasn't hard to book coach seats on the night. Business was already sold out for the night flight and the next day afternoon flight!

I don't think more then 5 people made it in the night flight in coach. UA91 was sold out as well

A client of mine made an EU261 claim with LH - got this reply;

A face pic of yourself? Strange! Sounds like they want to hang your pic up by security and punish you by giving you extra tsa screening for filing a claim!

I didn't seek "Compensation" -I just decided to ask LH the reason for the go around

To top off my flights, I had my first ever G/A. The gear didn't retract or locked, and suddenly I was able to hear the stall warning from the flightdeck, pilot did a G/A and returned for another try. Upon landing he discovered that the landing gear didn't turn do we had to get a tow

To which LH replied;

It is much to our regret to learn that you, Mrs. XXXXX [PS> it's actually a Mr. - LH did you ever hear of a Mrs. going to Uman?] and Mr. XXXXX were affected by a flight delay on your journey to Boryspil on September 6, 2018. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience this caused.

Based on our records, the delay was within the airline’s responsibility. However, the arrival was less than three hours.

For delay less than three hours, the EC regulation 261/2004 does not grant compensatory payment. Therefore, we hope for your understanding that we cannot comply in rendering any compensation.


In light of the inconvenience you all encountered, we are pleased to offer USD 50 per passenger as a gesture of goodwill. In order for us to process the said payment, we request that you send in your bank details including the recipient name, bank name and address, ABA routing number, account number and the registered address connected to the account.

Up to how long does baggage on an international flight have to be delayed for coverage under the Montreal Convention?

If luggage is tagged under 1 passenger can I claim for 2nd passenger as well [max out on both] if they are on the same PNR?

AA cancelled our ORD-YYZ flight due to mechanical issues. We had to be at YYZ for first thing in the morning but there were no more flights available that day on any airline.

They were able to book us on an ORD-BUF instead which is about a 2-hour drive to YYZ.

To get to YYZ our only option was a taxi as rental cars were all sold out. Cost us $275.

Any chance AA will compensate? Tips on how to do this? We have no status and the ticket was a one-way economy booked via Chase Points.

Flew LGA-YYZ last night on AC. Flight was delayed by 1.5 hours (no explanation) and then my headphone jack was broken, as well as my wife’s screen. FA tried resetting the system but problem remained.

I have no status on AC. Is it even worth requesting compensation? If so, am I better off writing one joint message or should my wife and I communicate separately? What can I expect? Thanks!
