United broke my suitcase wheel, what should I expect?
A check to buy a new one. Did you file a claim at the airport? Expect it to take a while to get the check.

You can still try opening a claim.

https://www.united.com/ual/en/de/fly/travel/baggage/damaged.html

When did the incident occur? International flight or domestic?

If you didn’t file in the airport, for domestic you’re supposed to file within 24 hours, or for international within 7 days.

If outside those times, there’s a chance they could deny the claim just on principle.

Definitely in effect. Delta delayed my flight by 8.5 hours on 7/19 and I got compensation already!

AA 2 hour delay, anything I can get? Assuming that not, but doesn’t hurt to try.

Was downgraded from DL domestic first to economy due change of equipment. Was booked using Skymiles.
What can I expect? Best way to contact?

I was told by the gate agent they would refund me the difference in price from First to Economy, but how can they calculate that, especially since I booked with miles?

Was flying Business AF with a few kids. They said due to safety concerns, choldren could only sit in the middle, right next to an adult.the only solution they came up with on one leg was to have my two year old sit on my lap. Then they gave my extra seat to someone else. Can I expect anything for this?

I flew tlv-jfk with air europa. one suitcase never arrived for the duration of the 2 week trip. it came to my house in israel 5 days after our return to israel (it was gone a total of 20 days)
I filed a PIR in jfk and with the airline but due to their error it only went through 5 days later (5 days after we landed in jfk).
how can I get maximum compensation from the airline? verbally they told me I will only get a voucher for 100euro to be used within 18 months. this doesn't make sense to me. how is that compensation? I do have receipts for some purchases done. but I was pretty frugal with spending not knowing if I'll get it back in the end.
what are my rights?
paid for the ticket with chase visa card. what can I get from them? and how?
I also had a travel insurance policy from which the agent told me I can only get up to $350 (after proving what the airline gave)

Was scheduled to fly UA KEF=EWR on 7/28/21, 11;20am departure. Arrive at the airport to be told no plane as flight from Chicago had to turn around and return to airport. Flight delayed until 11:55pm (later further delayed to7/29 1:55am). No ability to put us on another carrier flight. Told to call United and the CSRs disappeared. I rebooked on Icelandicair, cancelled United return.

On the United feedback webpage asked for compensation under EU261, reimbursement for lunch and transport there (no food landside in KEF and no vouchers offered), and reimbursement for luggage storage for the day (total $159). United agreed to pay the $159 and credited me for the leg I didn't take. They said no on the EU261 as the "inbound flight to your location was delayed due to a medical issue. This delay would have caused the flight crew to exceed permissible duty hours as mandated by the Federal Aviation Administration."

Isn't this a knock on effect?  Isn't the issue really that the flight crew timed out (not the medical issue)?  Any ideas what I should say to UA to get compensation?

ETA:
the ticket was 50k Skymiles.
I received 14,027 miles back and a $200 Delta voucher.

No clue how they came to that number though.

What's the legally required compensation?
I had a 9 hour delay (mechanical) ex-TLV with AA. Waiting to hear back from them

Thanks, I had seen that for cancellations, but the language i had seen in the law for delays appeared to be different, even for long delays
