What does AA say when you call in? Why don't they book you in F?
Just that everything is full for tonight and that I can request a refund at aa.com/refunds. I rebooked at the desk in the airport. By now there's definitely no space left.
UPDATE: AA phone rep says I bought an instant-upgrade fare, not a first-class fare. I think I fell for the AA have-to-look-at-the-detailed-fare trick. In any event, I'm on the Delta flight, and they just announced that we're going to be delayed on the tarmac for 1.5 hours. Yay.
