Does anyone know if flying from Newark to Bahamas and wife ticket booked under her maiden name which is consistent with her license but not her passport which is under married name, do we need to rebook or can show marriage certificate (from 13 years ago)?

No, you should be good. Just give some time as some tsa agents aren’t well trained/versed could a few extra minutes.
