For every rural MAGA voter, Trump loses three votes elsewhere.

The party presiding over a bad economy and high inflation is already 5 points down before any candidates are chosen. Trump has a magical way of making what should be a runaway election into a tight race.

The Iraq war plus the economic meltdown of 2008 made it almost impossible for a Republican to win a general election. Trump would have lost to Obama worse than McCain or Romney.

However, America was ready for a Republican by 2016. A Republican should have easily won 2016, while Trump barely managed to scrape by and win the electoral college. Trump should have had 2020 in the bag, but his erratic behavior caused him to lose. (and yes, he only has himself to blame. Not Russiagate, the media or a stolen election)

With the Democrats going with a far-left ticket, Trump should be up right now by 5-10 points. But he's not. This says more about Trump than anything else.

I don't read enough to detect or recognize bias, but without going in to fact checking specific policy statements mentioned in the article, she does seem to not answer questions, and she didn't seem to offer any valuable policy statements during her honeymoon, hopefully it's coming.

I expect her to stay in the basement unless the current tide changes.

She will be required to respond to policy questions on the debate stage. Is she articulate enough to keep her answers vague and noncommittal there as well? Or will that half of America just not tune in?

I think she will do two things.
1 - Stick to the script. She is not like Biden and can remember the script.
2 - Attack Trump's lies. That will set Trump off.
