  • Please post the mekor (source) for the Halacha cited.
  • This thread is not for debate or lengthy discussion of the mentioned halachos. That can be done in the Discussions Thread. Unless you either believe that there is a serious error in din or have a limud z’chus - in that case please cite the source.
@AsherO

I would like a list of potential pitfalls. This is not the Shulchan Aruch here, but to raise awareness, so people will know to look into it, or ask their rabbi.

As per the intention of the OP and the consensus of the majority of posters on the thread - once there are more than a couple of comments on a Halacha - take it to the Discussions Thread

If one misses in a Plag Minyan, Mincha before the Plag, one needs to daven maariv later.

I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Okay, and you won't eat before Maariv.
So practically you come home to eat the time that the regular - non-plag people would.

You would eat Shabbes night, make Kiddush and all and go Daven Maariv later on regular basis?

If you have a problem with it. Some Rishonin don't, some Achronim don't either, and that was the prevalent minhag in Europe (all over Europe) on Friday/Shabbos.

Prob the "I've never heard of it before, and it just seems wrong me..."

It maybe MORE lechatchila than the usual early shabbos way - but I'll leave that for the better learned members here to debate

The onus is on you, to explain why it shouldn’t be. Otherwise it is, by default.

Anyway, see מג״א סימן רע״א סק״ה
